“The Coming of The King”

This painting was inspired by my desire to slow down as the holiday season ramps up and the hurry, chaos, and material items continue to beg for our attention. This painting was created on a cold evening a few weeks ago during a time where I felt myself getting caught up in the hurry, ultimately making me feel overwhelmed and overstimulated.

Friends, this time of year can be so wonderful, but I pray we do not get lost in the things of this world. Our life is much more than schedules, money, and a never ending to-do list. because of one night many years ago, our Savior was born to this Earth to deliver us from sin and death. How crazy that Jesus would humble himself to give us the most beautiful gift we could ever receive!

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11

My prayer is that this painting would end up in someone’s home this holiday season and be a quiet reminder of what He did for us. After all, there would be no Christmas season if it weren’t for Christ’s love and sacrifice on the cross.
